To help you with your last minute costume shopping, we're staying open later for you. Weeknights Oct 20-30 we're staying open until 9pm. You might also find us here late many other evenings this month. Feel free to call to check.

CELTIC HARVEST FESTIVAL- Sat Oct 25, Koka Booth Amphitheatre, Cary

Once again, the local renaissance faire is hosting this day of Halloween fun. Listen to great celtic music by Mother Grove and others, visit the haunted trail, shop with great vendors (including us!), and plan to have a fabulous day!

HOGWARTS HALLOWEEN - Sun Oct 26, 5-9 pm, Tir-na-Nog, Raleigh

We had so much fun last year, we're teaming up with Tir-na-Nog again to bring you this evening of wizarding fun. We'll have some great wizard rock for you including Gred & Forge, Hawthorn & Holly, and the Blibbering Humdingers. Harry Potter themed costume contest, kids activities, etc. More info at http://hogwartshalloween.com. Tell your friends!

HP RE-READERS CLUB - Tues Oct 14 & 28 6:45

Gather with other adult fans to relive the Harry Potter books. We're doing Order of the Phoenix, chapters 18-24 and then chapters 25-end. In November we'll watch OotP and start on Half-Blood Prince.

LIFE AFTER HARRY BOOK CLUB - Tues Oct 21, 7-9pm

This month's book is Goose Girl by Shannon Hale, a magical retelling of the Grimms's fairy tale of the princess who became a goose girl before she could become queen.

SCA - Thursdays at 7:30pm

If you've ever wanted to learn more about life in the Middle-Ages or Renaissance, you should come check out the Society for Creative Anachronism. The local group has weekly meetings here which often include short classes on a variety of topics from heraldry to calligraphy, illumination, costuming, music, etc. More on the local group at http://elvegast.org It's a great way to meet new friends and have fun with history.
