Society for Creative Anachronism (Canton of Elvegast) - the Raleigh/Cary chapter of this world-wide medieval/renaissance re-enactment group.
NERO Piedmont - a fantasy live-action role-playing game in the area
North Carolina Renaissance Festival - the local renfaire, every spring at the NC State Fairgrounds in Raleigh
Carolina Renaissance Festival - another renaissance faire, held in Charlotte, NC for 8 weekends in the Autmun.
ConCarolinas- an annual sci-fi/fantasy convention in Charlotte, NC with everything from war gaming, to LARPs, to anime, to filk, to discussion panels and more. We've been attending for several years and always have a good time.
Scottish Tartans Museum - our friend Matt Newsome is the curator at this fine museum in Franklin, NC (up in the mountains). He is also a kilt maker, geneologist, and professional Scotsman.
TALAN - a fantasy Live Action Role Playing group in the Triangle
Animazement - an annual Aniame/Cosplay/Japanase culture convention that takes place in Durham on memorial day weekend.
Clockwork Cabaret - music, news and discussion on the local steampunk scene
Stellar Con - another nice little, local con for sci-fi/fantasy/gaming fans.

Loxley Abbey - a group that gathers regularly to celebrate Anglo-Saxon & Old English Folk holidays that were celebrated throughout England in ancient tymes. Part neo-pagan spritualism blended with medieval christian celebration.
Raleigh's Village Idiots - a local comedy troupe
The Tudor Shoppe - excellent source for Elizabethan costuming and accessories. At certain times of the year you can find their products in our store.
Bed and Bike Inn - a lovely bed & breakfast near Concord, NC that caters to cyclists, and wine tours. A wonderful place for anybody to stay and get away for a while.
Deerhollow Music - Harpist Marilyn Wienand plays a wonderful mix of modern, traditional, celtic, and renaissance music. Scott & Kirsten also perform with her as part of the Merry Minstrels medieval consort.
The Blibbering Humdingers - Scott and Kirsten perform Harry Potter themed music under this pseudonym. Check out some of their music online!
